we are humans and so are students, if we eat we need to give up the waste as every living being on the earth does, so this is by nature. so what occurs naturally is not a privilege but a genuine need which has to be done.

Student's have a right to go to the toilet. It is not a privilege. I once had a kidney infection and asked a tutor to be excused, he refused to let me, so I got up and went anyway. How can going to the bathroom be seen as a privilege. Thats like keeping a dog locked up inside the house all day and hitting it because it made a mess on the floor, even though it tried to get out to pee!

Well, of course they have the "right" but sometimes they have to wait a little while for the appropriate time just like adults at work do. I taught a total of 125 kindergarteners this past school year and it was a real problem when the kids came to my classroom and all wanted to use the restroom since we only had a half hour for music class. Eventually, I had a discussion with the kids about better times to use the restroom and drink water. I had them brainstorm and they came up with when they are playing in their classroom or at lunch and recess. I even had a game with questions about everything we'd learned including the rules and this helped them remember. Of course if someone really needed to go, I let them. There were a few kids that I could not let leave though because they would habitually play in the restroom or outdoors and not return to class.

The call of nature must be responded to and it is mandatory to go to the toilet. It is not a privilege because it cannot be passed upon, it must be acted upon.

What kind of question is that? Of course EVERYONE has the right to use the bathroom. Are you dense or something? A person could develop serious medical problems from being forced to hold it in. And depending on the child's age, they could develop serious psychological issues as well.

It is a right. I was always told that if I had to go, and the teacher wouldn't let me, get up and go, and my parents would deal with the teacher later. I also was told once by my uncle, that if I really had to go, and the teacher wouldn't let me, to stand up, whip it out, and go in the classroom. I never had the courage to try that, but know someone who did.

You mean they actually prevent you from going to the toilet?

Come on, I would walk out of the classroom even they do not allow. What do they expect, me to pee in my pants at the expense of their suspicion? We all have our rights. I doubt they can do anything to you if its a true case.
