All relationships are temporary because we are all mortal. This is true. That doesn't make it pointless. Some of these people will make your life better, and you will make some other peoples' lives better. Until you find that special someone, or a great best friend or two, it might be hard to appreciate this. Keep looking for good people to spend time with and it will be worth it.

Well you are right even you will die and leave, so do you want no one to take an interest in you because of that?
It sounds like maybe (and I am just guessing) that you just lost someone.
I really think life is more of the journey...not the destination. If being alone and not bonding with someone is what you have chosen for your journey you will lead a lonely life. I don't think that is what anyone wants. So yes there is a point....you just have to decide what the point is

No relationships are pointless. In any way you meet people and make relationships they touch you and leave you richer. If they support you - easy to see, if they hurt you - harder to see. If a person i a relationship hurts you and end the relationship, it still has made an impact on you. You have learnt somethings which you can take with you when you open a relationship with someone else.
You can probably say that all relationships are temporary in their way. You are also a temporary relation to someone else. Isn't this what makes us richer?

I think you just need to find the right person.. if the person u love dies its just life .. i know its hard but at least you can live and have their memories... If the person leaves then i guess it wasnt real love .. just find the right person and you wont be asking this question.. I know my relationship is not pointless and not temporary..Im learning many things from my boyfriend and i feel good knowing that he will always be here..

Of course there's point at the end of the day you should enjoy the time you spend with that person. It's that or be alone for ever and get lots of cats. If you have that attitude then there's no point having friends or seeing your family cos they'll all die in the end and what kind of life is that??

The journey of this world is like that of a train journey, there are many similarities.
You get in to a train, there are many people with you, the journey is apparently long, you dont know who will get down where, and who will join you where, some you are with thru out your journey,
In effect, all the people you come in touch with make each other as comfortable as possible, those that trouble you are ignored. while you are in the train you make the best of your time. have fun
Every body and anybody becomes important, Your journey gets smoother and better, while all of you are together with concern for each other, it makes your travelling that much easier,

I don't think it is pointless or temporary. I believe love is not so much a physical thing but much bigger than that. Ethereal maybe. I am not talking about attraction or lust...but love. I KNEW the moment I met my guy that we were meant to be. It is so worth it even if one of us were to die tomorrow. It will have been worth it.

Between birth and death there is a phase called life and to live that part of life meaningfully is not pointless or worthless. If someone minds they can contribute a lot to this mankind!

Why face a lifetime of solitude just because in the end we're ALL going to die? Relationships are important - not just sexual, but also with soulmates, family and friends. No one should ever be alone.

Does believing in an after life mean religious?
Well if you are refusing to let anyone with that
idea speak, then yes to you they are temporary
because if death is the end, then it would mean
life and everything in it is temporary.
I am in a wonderful marraige, and I believe
there will be an after life, i dont really believe
in hell or anything but i do believe our relationship
will continue. But i guess my response doesnt
count.
Any one who does not believe in an after life
would logically say "YES" ...hello duh.
