Let me help you, my fellow American (at least you seem like one to me). It isnt soccer to them, its football. It isnt the field, its the pitch. And it isnt just a sport, it is the most important thing for most of them, behind family and friends (for some of them, its the most important thing, period). Now...In England's football league, the English Premiership, Manchester United is very famous, even though they havent won anything important lately. Chelsea is another big name, but the way their going, they will have a bunch of big stars, and no real teamwork. Arsenal is also very good, and was second in this years European's Champions Cup. The European's Champions Cup is a tournament for club teams in Europe only. I believe, but am not certain, that it is an invitational tournament. Either it is, or the UEFA Cup is, I always confuse the two. Anway, one of them is an invitational, the other one you qualify for. Now that I think about it, I believe the UEFA Cup is the invitational. Anyway. In Spains League, Real Madrid is typically very good, although they tend to just buy big stars and not have teamwork. Still, they are a force to always be reckoned with. Barcelona is another big name. They beat Arsenal in the Europeans Champions Cup Final. In Italy, Juventes, A.C. Milan, and Inter Milan tend to be very good, but the Italian League, the 'Serie A', good very well become a joke, as some of those teams may be booted back to the second or third divisions of that league. Germany has Bayern Munich, the most famous of the German Clubs. They havent been truly spectacular in a while, but that could change soon. Scotland, Sweden, Denmark, Portugal, Russia, Holland, etc all have their own leagues, but they usually dont produce very good club teams. Outside of Europe, many South American countries have leagues, the most famous being Brazil's and Argentinas. Argentina's Boca Juniors occasionally challenge an outside squad. Mexico also has a league, and so does the United States with MLS. On the whole though, the Americas, both North and South, tend not to produce very good club teams. Personally, my favorite club team is Celtic. They play in the SPL, the Scottish Premier League. GO HOOPS.

The worlds most succesful club, in terms of trophies won, Glasgow Rangers.
Scotland are my national side, but enough said about them the better! Not exactly the best team, but i still love them.
English league, i like Arsenal, and in Spain, Barcelona.
But my heart is with Rangers.

REAL MADRID, havent been doing great these past years but they have constantly been proving that they are quality, and i belive that with new signings this season and the passing of older stars, i think real will win either the la liga or champions league

in the world cup it was Spain , Portugal and Italy but if u want the most famous team it will be real Madrid or Barcelona but what i love is real Madrid
