No way. Democracy even if weak gives people choices and freedokm. a strong dictatorship removes freedom and often evolves into a paternalistic nanny state where people have no choices, are told forcibly what they can't do and are given extremely harsh penalties if they dare to criticise the regime.

I thought we already are under a dictatorship and it's not a good idea to be under any kind of a dictatorship at all.
No a weak democracy is not the way to go either.
What we all need and not just in the U.S.A. either.
Every country deserves a great democracy in order to survive in this world. But not any kind of a dictatorship because that's no way to lead any country at all because it only brings on resentment and troubles that no one needs.
A true democracy is for all the people and a dictatorship is against all the people.
How would like it if you were not allowed to make any chooses for yourself but has to always follow the total rules of a dictatorship? Wouldn't you rather have a strong democracy that was always for all the people?
No, not a strong or weak dictatorship at all.

Strong Dictatorship like what happened in Singapore is good because the country can progress because there is only one making policies for the state unlike a Weak Democracy like in the Philippines where the politicians are always bickering making the country stagnant economically. A Dictatorship is better if not oppressive as compared to a Free Country where everybody can do anything even if wrong.

Dictatorship is better than democracy. Why i should say that, come to think of it i came from a democratic country, philippines, but i already want to be that our goverment goes to dictatorship, Dictatorship fine with all the deals, the level of hipocracy institutions goes fron in another conventional society, it gives a fear to a citizen to do the crime because it labeled as a tooh for a tooth then an eye for an eye. In a democratic goverment the people become radical so it cannot give you a progress eventhough theres a freedom, but do you think it is good for your country that you have a freedom from a hipocracy but you dont have a progress for your minality. Think of it. How I Wish that MRS. GLORIA ARROYO will go for the new government, i support you MADAM. Thankyou.

Yes. In a weak democracy, decisions can get bogged down by petty disagreements (sound familiar?). This can become a problem in a crisis, as no one can agree on what to do.
A strong dictatorship (not necessarily a tyrannical one, though) is better because a small group of people are making the decisions, and so the decisions are made faster.

No. With the freedom given by a democracy, a group of people determined to make the system work in their country (much like America's founding fathers) will rise to the challenge and help to build a stronger nation.

there should be a balance. I see Cuba, N. Korea etc... and their people are so poor and they are like blind puppets. Then I take my country and it seems that will fall within it's self from so much freedom. I support my president now but God knows what will happen if we get some "free loving hippie"
