people on benefits often get stigmatised, i think that even some of the lowest scummiest alchoholic claiments would want a better life if they new how to have one.and... what about single parents ?who have no support from the father of their child-even when the father is given every oppotunity to do so.mothers don't like to leave their children and just because a man is not doing his job why should a child miss out on their mother being around as well as not having a father?

I don't think anyone should be on benefits indefinately. In many countries you get 6 months and there you go, they will cut you off. If you haven't paid taxes you will not get benefit at all. I know children shouldn't be penalized but parents should. And sometimes you just have to pay the price if your parents are serlfish and immature to have it. There is many people taking advantage of this system and the hard working public ends up paying monstrous taxes and live hard life in spite of working. Working is not encouraged. Kids get pregnant just to get a house and be on benefits. I would take their children away from them if they can't take care of them or have them after 1 or 2 sterilized. And just because you give money to the parents it doesn't mean they will spend them on children. They should give vouchers or so. So that they won't spend it on alcohol or drugs. Hate to support such loosers. Non workers are just a vegetable no use for them. And fathers should support children they can be tracked down with DNA testing etc.
Workers should be preferred always and those who might need help temporarily.

Men who dont pay child support should have it taken out of their pay check according to what they earn and can live off. If they dont pay they go to jail. That way the benefit system isnt paying out for other peoples responsibilities - If a father doesnt contribute the govt should take control of his finances simple
People in england dont get stigmatized for being on benefit - it is our god given right even if you never payed taxes in your life
asylum seekers should only recieve benefit for a period of time - after that they should work.

I just wish that they were stricter with people before handing out these benefits. Genuine people are the ones that miss out. The answer is that they need to be more scrutinising with their questions, benefit cheats are out there.
They should be caught and made to pay back every penny. There are some that go on the sick beacuse they can-- too bloody lazy to go out there and earn an honest living. Its really hard to know wjo's genuine and who isn't--- im meerly generalising and dont mean to offend anyone
