I believe coaches should be carded for unnecessary behavior on the sideline. They are setting a bad example for their team, and children around the world. Not to mention coaches of kid teams who see a proffesional coach yelling, so they should too. After all, coaches and staff are part of the team.

Coaches can and do get carded. There was a coach in this year's World Cup who was given a red card and removed from the field. I forget which match and coach however.

As already answered, they do. But keep in mind, it is a lot harder to catch the coach at something, and also, if you are the ref, it might not be wise to go up to the coach if there is already a mix up on the field. It is the fourth officials job, really, but he also has a number of responsibilities. And, most importantly, FIFA has a host of other problems, refereeing and goal scoring just being a few, that they should deal with before focusing on coaches getting carded.

Coaches do get red carded didnt you know ??

In 2006 Dujkovic , coach of Ghana got a red vs Brazil
In 2002 Serico Katanec coach of Slovenia got a red vs South Africa

When a coach is red carded he cant stand by the side of touchline but has to sit in the gallery.

Well since they do anyway. Even though not playing, they do sometimes commit fouls. I think some of the tempers of the coachs should be cooled off alittle.... Except for Klinsmann, he is funny when he bounced, when Klose scored that goal! LOL

And they are. Well they don't get red cards, they're sent out of the field and sometimes can't even watch the next one. I remember this happened to Jose Mourinho (Chelsea)
