A business related degree may not be the best choice if you plan to proceed to an MBA course in the future. You don't need a business degree to become an MBA, so starting off with a Bcom (for instance) wouldn't necessarily give you an advantage over graduates from other disciplines who decide to go for an MBA themselves.

What are your career plans? I'd say that you should plan your studies such that your first degree gives you a certain edge over the army of MBAs you'll have to compete with for jobs in a few years. For example, a job applicant with an economics (with a second language) bachelors degree AND an MBA could be more attractive to some employers than someone who simply has a general BCom and MBA.

Think about the type of job you'd like to have and go through a few job-seekers websites (e.g. http://www.cityjobs.com/) or the careers section of the websites of companies/organisations that interest you. This should give you some insight as to what employers in the field you wish to enter look for in prospective employees. Good luck, I hope you make the right choice!

I'd go for B.Sc., if what you mean is a degree with a major or specialization in a hard science or engineering or some such. Whether you go for a MBA or a JD, having a hard science background (assuming you're interested in the subject) opens up opportunities -- and not just in patent law. Everybody knows that you can't fake mathematics and science the way you can almost every other subject. Sid Caesar could even fake speaking foreign languages.

MBA is all about business administration and management. B.Sc is more likely to take you in analytical world of science where as B.Com has great deal of fundamental learning in commerce which form the foundation in management jobs. Both from education and career perspective, you can close your eyes and go for B.Com.
