well football as said is a contact game, many players from around the world play it every day, u find in the clubs for example many kinds of people from Europe, Africa, south America, Asia and many other places and they have their own cultures and hobbits so because of this diversity some times people get on he nerve of other people, not only this the pressure the games can put on a players shoulder and back it let him flip out sometimes, maybe the shame of loosing make him stressed out during the game and start braking legs and (balls), but still in that the best game ever!

There is some...but it's not like its golf. Football is a contact sport, and sometimes people loose their heads, players AND spectators alike. While if there were a bit less, that would be good, the way it is, its just fine. The beautiful game has not yet been tarnished by cruel play (although perhaps by cheap play- that is a different matter altogether).

not violence per se but too much gamesmanship. it's sickening cuz' a lot of the players are really just lowlifes masquerading as football players. how disgraceful that fifa often turns a blind eye and we're equally guilty if we accept this as "just part of the game". i think more than the zidane headbutt, it is our collective indifference and tolerance for such antics that send the wrong message to the kids.

Yes you are right, this world cup was full of red\yellow cards.
And about Zidane, well he got 14 red-cards in his career,so his gesture wasn't so out of character!!
Violence has nothing to do with football, and I think they could need some anger management.

Unfortunately, there is not nearly enough. Rarely do we actually see blood spill, and only occassionally are we treated to a dislocated shoulder or broken leg. Materazzi insults Zidane's mother and sister and the best he can do is act like a little bull? Please. If you are going to get kicked out of a game and lose it for your country, go out in style and freaking paralyze the dude. Make the stretcher actually necessary for once.
