Have you considered getting mini version / simplified versions of your dress (sorry, I am assuming you're the bride) made? This is what I did and it worked out cheaper than buying.

Monsoon have some gorgeous dresses that are quite reasonable in price. Or if you can afford it why not design your own and take it to a dressmaker? I had my wedding dress hand made and it was very unique, it was actually cheaper than i would have paid in a shop.
