Where does love go when it dies?
Could you ever steal a prayer to deny your God
Could you ever buy your love and not count the cost
Could you ever take a life when all was lost
And would it ever be enough
Could you bite the hand that feeds you and then ask for more
Could you kiss the wound that bleeds spit it on the floor
Could you open up your heart then close the door
And would it ever be enough
Every word you whisper
All the tears you hide
You die for love when it's alive
But where does love go when it dies
If you came across your dream would you walk on by
Hold a candle to the wind and just let it die
And is there room inside your mind for one more try
And would it ever be enough
I watch the time go rushing by it's like an ocean wave
Showing you no mercy throwing dirt upon your grave
You're drowning in the darkness and you're blinded by the light
And there ain't no prayer that's gonna save you now
If you woke up from your sleep blood on your hands
Would you wash the pain away no one understands
There must be someone out there who can help you breathe again
And would it ever be enough

It goes to the pit of your stomach, sometimes the small of your spine, where it sits and festers along with all the other feelings you don't or can't let yourself feel because they hurt too much...
And then you wonder what the hell happened some 5-10 years later when the doctor says you have ulcers or irritable bowel syndrome or nasty lower back pain or a *knot* of rigid, tense muscle between your shoulder blades and the root of your neck, or that you need to stop grinding your teeth before any more of them break off in your sleep...
You know, the kinds of things that take years away from your life and you "don't know why" except that deep down you do...and you know it can't be fixed now, you've taken the pain out on your body rather than shed tears over it and now you are scarred for it.
That is where love goes when it dies. Tears or scar tissue, take your pick.
(and that is if you are lucky, mind you...some of us aren't and have the diagnosis and the case file *that is thicker than a damn phone book* to prove it)

down the drain, quick and fast.
it took me a long time to come up with that.
within a year of when my love died, I was draining the tub after a bath, a weird feeling came over me, a feeling of letting go and wanting to let go (just like pulling the plug and letting the water go)
a wonderful feeling of calmness came over me and my loss wasn't so big anymore. Now I'm better, stronger, happier than ever. It never dies until you bury it. Your choice, believe it or not.
hope this helps you

ei, there's no such thing as love dies...love is an inert feeling that is present in all of us..if you mean of love through a relationship of two opposite sex is..love doesn't die...it just takes a rest..for maybe you have given so much love and been taken for granted..thus your love fades for that particular person...and if love dies as you may have put it...then it will be your experience and a good one..which in return would help you find love in another way...
what doesn't kill you makes you stronger..
ciao!

I don't think that love always dies completely but when it does most of the the time hate. Only because you let someone get close to you and they hurt you so you either hate them or yourself for being so stupid.

love stays where it always has been...in the heart. i have lost quite a few of my loved ones and friends and i've asked that question myself...how can all of that persons life love character laughter tears emotion etc...all stop when they die?? well i've come to the conclusion it stays right where it was to start with, within all of us.
even when you've split with someone you loved dearly....there will always be a part of your heart that belongs to them. ok probably a little deeper an answer than you were expecting...but i hope i helped.
cheers.

Love never dies......trust me. It will fall and fall and fall... It will get hurt over and over and over.....this will not stop love....Love gets back on its feet and then will learn from the past. Even then, love knows that life is a risk worth taking...what is life without love or passion?.....Carpe Diem

love does not go anywhere...it just gets covered by other, stronger emotions that you are feeling at that time...there is always a chance for everyone in this world to love again and again.....Love never dies, it is in our hearts for ever and for always.
