Competition. It seems like every girl is set on becoming the Queen Bee for at least one moment in time.

If a girl gets along with another girl, that means she either considers her a direct threat or hardly a threat at all(which could be a good thing if she's genuine or bad thing for underestimating someone).

Women get like that when they are in a big group, especially in work situations because there is no balance. They can get catty and down right despicable when they get into what is called a "click." What usually happens is the aggressive ones bond together to form a click, and pick on the more mild mannered ones like me. I've worked in large groups of women like that in the past and was "always" miserable. Now I work in a mixed group with both men and women and it is wonderful. Women need men and men need women to help keep each other balanced.

Jealousy and insecurity. Women are often plagued with it. I'm female, and I consider myself to be very level-headed, yet I still catch myself unconsciously being competitive with other women. It's a pain. Also, and I believe this to be 100% true, most women know deep inside them that they'd sleep with their best friend's man if they had the chance. Women are fiercely competitive with one another. But we're not evil, we just have our own problems to overcome. Men aren't without fault either....hee hee. Good luck.

There is a lot of pressure for girls to look a certain way, be a certain way, and the competition is fierce. It is usually out of insecurity. I'm glad I don't have to worry about such things.
