Yesterday I noticed someone had the same avatar as I did so I jokingly asked the question, how have you managed to get the same little pic as mine when I thought I was so unique.I was expecting perhaps a humorous reply instead it was a bitchy reply. Why are people like this and is there need for it.

I had the exact same problem about a week ago. I guess they can't see your friendly smiling face or sense your well-meant ironic tone in these black letters scrawling across the screen. And it's always easier to respond nastily than constructively. And...oh God, I think I'm falling in love with you.

communication in writing may be taken differently by different people. When we communicate face to face facial expressions and gestures show how we feel. The same statement can mean different things. For example, " How can you wear that?" can be a compliment or an insult depending on your tone of voice and facial expressions but by typing it the reader will infer the meaning only by the mood they are in and how they personally interpret it. We can add smiley faces or lol to our messages if we are joking around to help the reader infer our meanings, one must be creative when typing so that the reader understands our messages. :)

Perhaps she thought that she was 'unique' as well and didn't like to have her delusion broken, hence the nasty reply. Some people aren't very friendly. It's their choice, best to leave them alone.

No need for it, you're right.

There are many reasons for the different actions that we do, which are caused by our emotions.

Our emotions are controlled by our perception of the world around us, the things that have happened to us today and the days before.

it's just the way some people are, sometimes you can speak to people you've never met and you'll get a good humoured response and sometimes you'll get blanked completely, don't let it put you off being friendly though it's a much nicer way to be, it was nice talking to you.

Because we can and people have freedom of expression. Don't let it get to you. The whole world is not like that. Stay cool and don't let something like that ruin your day.

Don't worry about it.

You can only control your own behaviour not others.

Show them that you're better by loving instead of hating.
