I know that they are as long as the finger board is wide. But are they 1/8 or 1/4 in.wide itself ?

The distance between the frets gets smaller the closer to the body of the guitar you get, I think ^^; but don't count on it. I have a guitar in my room, and I'm too lazy right now to get up and check XD sorry! Hope I'm right anyways!
