My calculator broke.

Ok I lied... My calculator didn't really break... I just wanted to see how many geeks there were out there who would figure out a cube root for me at 4:30 in the morning... sorry if I inconvenienced any of you, and thanks for the quick responses.

Estimate:

Pick a number. Try 30. Multiply it 30*30*30. You'll get 27000.
So 30 was too high.

Try 25. 25*25*25. Its 15625.

19683 is much closer to 25^3 than 30^3

Try 27. 27^3 = 19683.

hey some of the others copied 27,without showing how they got the answer but i will show you! simple as hopscotch:)

1 + 9 + 6 + 8 + 3 = 27

Use a Windows calculator (Start> Programs> Accessories> Calculator) next time your calculator breaks.
The answer is 27.
