I was watching a Discovery Channel show that told about a guy who ran his converted Bronco using old grease from fast food chains.
he would pick up the used grease from their fryers when they cleaned. His vehicle apparently smells like McDonalds French Fries when it runs.

there is an abattoir here in NSW which boils the fat down to tallow then converts that to bio-diesel.
