Try this for bio gas production:

Eat a 1/2 lb. pound bean burrito
Eat some hard boiled eggs
Drink some beer
Follow with a pear juice chaser.

In a short time you will have bio gas production,and fewer friends.

here is an interesting factoid: bog sludge can be made to produce hydrogen by slightly increasing the sulfer content of the slurry.
