my officejet k80 can't be activated from it's dialog directory. i'm using winXP?

For the sake of other people who might be able to help you, could you provide a little more information? Is this device recently installed? Did it work at one time? XP home or pro (I assume Pro, but only you know for sure)?

Have you tried anything yet? Did you install a driver, or are you connecting to the printer another way than a direct connection?

And, of course, are all cables and power cords correctly plugged in? Is the print device on?
