i have natural affinity 4 acting, b my parents consider the job irreputable n not respectable. i cant leave my parents n i cannot give up my dreams. what should i do in this state of dilemma?

Follow ur heart.
Though u shud know, no path is easy-weazy and acting mite b the hardest path to travel.
And dont fall easily to critics, listen to wht they mite say but dont get it on ur head.

You could make your parents a deal to let you pursue it for 1 year and then do something else if it doesn't work. Or you can pursue education and a different career (since it doesn't take any to act) but do it in southern CA so you ca try out for commercials and things while you go to school.

Never give up your dreams...i am a musician but it does not pay my bills so i work for myself as a carpenter about 5 to 6 months a year that earns me enough to have the rest of the year off to play music and tour and stuff...i will never stop making music as thats where my heart lies and i found a way to do it and pay my bills...find your own way somehow!
