I have both of them. When I first went wireless, I got the WUSB11 adapter along with a wireless B wireless router. I later upgraded to a wireless G router, and got the WUSB54G for my new computer. Currently, I have the WUSB11 hooked up to my older computer, with Windows 98SE and the WUSB54G hooked up to my newer computer with Windows XP ME.

The main difference is speed as Wireless G is almost five times "faster" than Wireless B. If you download a lot of large files, this will make a difference in the download time. If you intend upon streaming audio, then I would definitely recommend going with the wireless G. With B, I often heard breaks in the music while it was buffering. With G this almost never happens. I'm also able to watch streaming video for news, etc, which took much slower to load with B. The benefits are also noticeable with YouTube and Google Video. I don't use VOIP, such as Skype, but a friend does and says that there was a noticeable difference with using G. For browsing the internet, the difference in speed is not perceptible on most websites.

So, it really depends upon your intended use. If you mostly use your wireless for browsing the internet and checking email, then B will be sufficient. If you use more connection intensive purposes such as streaming music, video, or VOIP, then you will definitely appreciate the additional cost of going with G.

I'd go with the WUSB54G because it uses 802.11g which is a newer and faster standard than 802.11b. It will give you 54 Mbps while the older 802.11b will only give you 11 Mbps.

Wireless G would certainly be a lot faster but it depends what you mean by better.
