Through these graves we learn about how ancient people lived and worked. Some of them hold great works of art that is a shame to leave buried in the sand.
As for the ones 140 years old, a perfect example is the bringing up of the Civil War submarine called the Hunley. This was the grave of these soldiers for 150 years and some legends were verified and then the remains were buried in a Civil War grave yard.
The moving of graves; My Ex worked for a funeral home. It is very common for a person to move to another state and have their loved one dug up and flown to the new state of residence and have the loved one buried there. That way they remain close.

This is a touchy topic, for sure.
Pros: We learn about different cultures and the history of these places.
Cons: We disturb the graves of resting souls and violate their eternal peace.
Some excavation may be useful for discovery, but I think we've begun to go too far.

I do not believe graves should be disturbed or moved.Or burial grounds if life can not be sacred living why can not ones death be sacred and undisturbed.To rest in peace.

I dont think that the dead people mind there tombs being escavated. If they were feeling exclusive about it Im sure there past it now.

Well, I don't think the pyramids of the ancient Egyptians would have lethal booby traps and false tunnels in them if they wanted somebody ******* with their dead.
