If you want to thank someone VOTE for the person that gave you the correct answer, or answer that solved your problem.
Vote where you asked your ORIGINAL Question.
It's nice to be thanked here, but the 10-points they get will make them even happier.
Sure, it's like the show "Whose Line Is It Anyway" the points don't matter. (but there nice to get)
And besides they may not even see THIS thank you, but they will see their points in an e-mail from Yahoo tied to your origional question from your vote.

In yahoo if you remember your profile seetings like date of birth you entered secret question and all you may get back your password
