Yes, you do. It would be very tough to enjoy both in one day. It seems like you'll have to choose between the two. I've been to both, and for my money, sea was much better. Also, i think that it is exclusive to Japan, unlike land which you can enjoy elsewhere. Disney Sea is super cool and not as childish as land. Whatever you do, get their early, because even with fastpass, the lineup will kill you.

Well, considering Disneyland is in California and Disneysea is in Tokyo, I would but tickets for the park in the city you are in.
Assuming that you are in Tokyo, then you would have to find out if they have a flex-pass similar to the ones in Florida which allow you to move between parks. If so, then you could get that and enjoy both Disneysea and Tokyo Disney parks.

I agree! Tokyo DisneySea is the best out of the two. There is no other Disneypark like it. I loved it and want to go back so much! I think you'll be glad if you choose DisneySea!

I've been to both too and I would prefer Disney Sea as well if I only had one day to enjoy.
Have a great time!â¡
