I think my favorite is probably Labor Day, simply because of the time of the year in which it comes. The fall.
I like autumn, and find it a very exciting time of year. The Labor Day weekend is usually the last fling before school starts. I loved it as a student and as a parent, and I still like it.
Of course, Christmas, New Year's, Memorial Day and the others all have their places. I am often frustrated and depressed during the Christmas season, however, and would rather it be less commercial.
I think seasonal holidays will always have a special place for me, and most of us have our favorites. As children we probably love Christmas the most.
I'm a bit past that stage.

HALLOWEEN!!!!!
I love dressing up and having/going to the parties! Every year, I know what character I will be going as at least 6 months prior.
All my costumes are made from home resources and I have never spent over $10 for any one costume.
Since I'm little 4' 5 1/2" (petite adult), I have all sorts of fun!
I always win a prize for a costume contest.
Some of my BEST costumes have been:
Oompa-Loompa (Willy Wonka & TheChocolate Factory)
Thing II (The Cat In The Hat)
Raggety Ann
Goofy (cartoon character)
Pebbles (Flintstones)
Man/Woman

Easter Sunday is by far my favorite holiday. It is the most joyful and uplifting celebration in the entire Christian year. Every year, I feel like I'm opening my heart to God for the first time, because the spirit is that strong within me. I can never quite believe I'm not literally glowing with my faith and God's love, and I can never understand why Easter is so marginalized in comparison to Christmas. Christmas celebrates Christ's birth, but Easter celebrates His victory over death!

Deffiently have to be Halloween, the history behind it is so interesting. I mean it's the day of the dead, thats pretty crazy. Im into that kindof stuff which is why that's my favorite holiday. You get to watch scary movies on t.v. and answer the door for kids, and celebrate the dead. Not to meantion dress up and eat candy. You get to dress up like somthing your not. Possibly be somthing that doesn't even exist for a night.

Christmas because of all the beautiful lights, the wonderful smell of the tree which is beautifully decorated by the children. The wonderful sweet smell of cookies in the oven and preparing little gifts for everybody. Sharing that wonderful feeling of togetherness and doing something special for someone who else would be forgotten. Christmas is a time of reflection, a time of joy and a time to share with others.
