Probably the man with two swords. The reaching distance is better. Although the centaur could kick him then just trample him to death so i guess it would be a draw or who ever gets the first hit.

Definetly a centaur; I mean, he's got tough horse skin, it's gonna take quite a bit of force in a swing to really do some damage. And by the time you've gotten a swing in, the centaur is already on top of you trampling you and kicking you into the ground. If you somehow manage to dodge a chage of his, then you have to watch out for the back legs as he passes you. There's just no way a man with a short sword could take a centaur

This question has been debated for decades. Much like who would win in a fight....chuck norris or bruce lee? Starsky or Hutch? Bo or Luke? Mike Tyson or Ralph Waldo Emerson?
To correctly guess, we'd really have to know how tall the man is, or if the sword is a shortsword, broadsword, two handed sword, scimitar sword, or katana blade sword. Is the Centaur wearing shoes, and if so, what color? Did the man eat cornflakes, or wheaties that morning? Does the man have red hair, or blonde hair?
Until these important variables are settled, we'll never know. Just as we'll never know if although Mike Myers seemingly has a complete inablity to rid the world of Jamie Lee Curtiss....could Jason Voorhees succeed at it? Sigourney Weaver can kick an Alien ***, and Predator can kick Alien ***....so is Predator a fair match up against Sigourney Weaver....or does Arnold Shwarzenneger or Danny Glover have to come in for that part of the job?
In the likely event of a centaur invasion, invading force of predator monsters, or a delcaration of war upon us by Jamie lee curtiss....I think these things should be discussed, considered, and planned for.

Horse legs are more than 2 feet long. Centaur could hit man, man couldn't hit centaur. Add to that the fact that centaurs are generally depicted as armed with spears and bows, and the man would have to get in really close to have a chance.

well, what's the centaur holding? If they both have 2 foot swords the centaur will win because of his hooves. If the centaur isn't armed the man will win because he'll stab the centaur in the horse part of the chest when it rears up to to use it's hooves.

the centaur, unless the person has been using the sword for years and is used to the size and weight of it. Then it would be more even.

a centaur. The longer and heavier the sword, the more difficult to swing.
