first install a pop up blocker..maybe the yahoo toolbar would be a smart good one

well the next best thing is to turn on ur pop up blocker..just to tools and internet options at the top of ur internet window then go to the privacy tab and then check the box that says block pop-ups near the bottom if its not already checked
u can also put up the pop up security by clicking on settings that next to the check box and go to the filter level option and choose high: block all pop-ups
note: everytime u try to open a link u have to hold control while clicking on it to work..
this should block the pop ups
if u still keep getting pop ups i think you may have the virtumonde virus...i had the same problem...

I got a spyware program over the internet. You can get it in a computer store too. The program should have such a function to disable pop-ups.

i downloaded the google toolbar which i love! and it has a popup blocker included which is an added bonus!
