They should make the locker rooms in Staples Center prizes, whoever has the better record gets the better locker rooms the next year. lol

The Lakers WERE the glitz and glamour team. That was the past. I don't see Shaq, Kareem, or Magic in their current rosters. Now they're the bottom feeders of the NBA.

The Lakers can't have a swagger if they keep getting L's. All that prestige, all those great players, that was the past. The Lakers are the past the Clippers are the future.

The Suns BARELY beat the Clippers. The Clippers outrebounded them every game. The Clippers could have just as easily won the series had certain events turned out differently.

they are starting to already, it all comes down to which out of the two teams wins more games. if the Clippers win more games than the Lakers this comin year, thn i would see more LA fans hopping on the Clippers bandwagon.

Unless the clippers start pulling in some star power like the Lakers, Jack Nicholson and others they wont be as popular. If they win a couple of titles in a row then maybe they will be able to gain a little popularity but not much. LA only likes winners, so even if the Clippers win 70 games next year if they dont win a title they will always be in the shadow of the Lakers.

Dude...whoever says that the clippers will be more popular is retarded. Just because they're better as a team does not make them more popular. They are steadily gaining support because of their newfound talent and success and the Laker's dropping (although they are slowly climbing back). But the Lakers have history in LA. They are the glitz and glamour team. The Lakers are still the team, the Clips are the up and coming team that people like because they show guts and have worked hard.

lol...Come on now. The Lakers' popularity is not solely the product of recent success. They have a legacy. Check out a list of the NBA Hall of Fame and consider the greatness. I don't think any of the locker rooms are better than the other. The Staples Center has 12 locker rooms, some of which are team specific for all of the professional sports teams that use the facility.

You don't expect a whole lifetime of greatness be ruined just because of a lousy last few seasons. As long as Kobe is in LA and they make the playoffs, Lakers will still be the glitz and glamour of Los Angeles. It will take a whole lot of hall of famers, championships and history before the Clippers can overtake the Lakers in that sense.

Never. And I say that as someone who has always supported both the Lakers and the Clippers. There is just too much history of the Lakers as a championship team, and the Clippers as chumps.

HELL NO! Thats a dumb question to ask. THe lakers brought glory to Los Angeles and L.A. will never forget about them. The lakers have had Jerry West, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille Oneal, Kobe Bryant, Byron Scott, Karl Malone( even though he didnt do much), and Wilt Chamberlain! What about the Clippers? NONE!

Very improbable...The lakers have 60 years of hisotry and has won many championships many dynasties...and is one of the main franshices of the NBA...if the clippers would eveer be like dat it would take another 30 to 40 years of not only being a winning playoff team but also winning championships and having 1 or 2 dynasties.

This is not gonna happen, it would of if Kobe would of signed with them. But seriously it's too much history. By the way didn't the Clippers get knocked out the playoffs by the same team the Lakers got knocked out by?

the clippers may have the better team going to the 2006-07 season but that won't be enough to replace the lakers as the more popular of the two. the lakers have prestige and they also have their distinct swagger to go with it.

as long as kobe is at the lakers and socring 80 points everyone will follow them during the season but once playoffs come i am sure the clippers will take over if they keep playing ball like last year
