In the world of science its is called Extra-sensory perception, or ESP, which is an alleged ability to acquire information by means other than the known senses, eg. taste, sight, touch, smell, hearing, balance and proprioception. The term implies sources of information unknown to science. The study of these abilities, called parapsychology, includes other phenomena such as psychometry and psychokinesis, which are associated with ESP.
Proponents of the existence of ESP point to numerous scientific studies that appear to offer evidence of the phenomenon's existence: the work of J. B. Rhine, Russell Targ, Harold E. Puthoff and physicists at SRI International in the 1970s, are often cited in arguments that ESP exists. Books such as James Randi's The Truth About Uri Geller, which examines the claims of the titular psychic, point out that these studies were not conducted with proper scientific controls, and that when alleged psychics such as Gellar are tested with such controls in place, they cannot produce results greater than would be accounted for by chance.
In general, numerous ESP studies have failed to find any evidence of the phenomenon. Those studies that have produced apparent evidence of its existence are marred by methodological flaws. Proponents of ESP claim that the phenomena is a "taboo" subject in the scientific and rationalist communities, resulting sociological rather than scientific barriers to research

Yes, but those are two complete different things. Everyone has intuition, even if they don’t know it. Intuition is “hunches” – gut “feelings” you have. They are based on unconscious estimates your mind makes based on your experience and knowledge. The more perceptive you are and the better you understand your own thinking process, the more you can make use of intuition. There is nothing magical or mysterious about it.
“Sixth sense” can refer to many things – usually referring to senses that can’t be proven – psychic senses, ESP, psi, things like that. By definition, they can’t be proven very well. They do seem to exist. For example, some people who concentrate on computer generating random numbers can affect the results very slightly.

Women on my mother's side of the family have what you would call a "sixth sense." It manifests itself in different forms depending on the age and generation of the woman it is in, and how accepting of and in tune with it she is. My great grandmother could see spirits, my grandmother had to be careful about wishing bad things on people because they would come true, my mother's eye twitches uncontrollably for a few days before something major (good or bad) and unexpected happens to someone she is close to, I dream about places or things that happen years later and remember these dreams, I have the eye twitch like my Mom, and I haven't seen a spirit since I was about three, but I can feel their presence. My sister and I feel pain when the other one is hurt, my sister often knows when something bad is going to happen to someone in the family and what it is, and she sees a spirit of a man in her bedroom. Only intense study and concentration can allow you to achieve the level of control over any "sixth sense" abilities you may have to be able to direct them and make them behave predictably, so don't expect too much.

Yes, I do think it does.
My mother was one that before she knew of an accident or tragedy, she was out of bed and getting ready to leave because she knew the phone would be rining. And every time she was right. She knew an hour before she found out that her twin brother was killed. She just knew.
I have that sometimes, when my best friend is in crisis, I'll call and say, is everything all right and most of the time I've called when things are happening. Sometimes I'm way off.
I think it's a personal closeness you have with that person or persons. I'm that way also with my son, I can tell if something is wrong before he gets home. I know.
I call it my connection to my loved ones...that seems to work better with people who don't get it.

Start listening to that little voice, that hunch, that little spiritual nudge or FEELING. It will lead you to the right path you should be on! Things will go much smoother for you and you will find you are doing what you are suppose to!
It is your INNER SELF your HIGHER SELF that is connected to the DIVINE energy.
Your SUB CONSCIOUS mind the more powerful one than the CONSCIOUS mind. Its the conscious mind that DOUBTS you.
Don't doubt your self in thought be OPEN to NEW POSSIBILITIES. We all have sixth sense yet the majority of HUMANS fail to use it.
If we all started to use it we really could globally acheive
world peace, poverty and hunger!
Meditate and it will pull you closer to your OWN INNER REALM!

No idea, but yes sometimes we believe we noticed something strange but our body is so unknown to us. Nature didn't give us the ability to understand our body, we can't feel the blood rushing through our veins, we can't feel our intestines or our own brain only when it hurts. But sometimes these feelings are just reactions we have towards some kind of chemical we ate, something in the air we just smelled, or who knows maybe when someone tries to tell us something they release a chemical in the air and we catch it how about that. Maybe your mind is trying to decieve you.

i think that the sixth sense doesn't exist ...intuition maybe ..when we're considering the circumstances and we make the right decision..but is nothing supernatural here ...some of us just see things more clearly than others..and ppl say or wanna believe is something unusual.

Yes.
Here's a personal example. I was asleep next to my baby and my husband. In my mind, I know there was three people in the bedroom.
During the middle of the night, my mother in law entered our room (she wasn't feeling well and needed to go to the hospital). It's weird. The energy in the room wasn't right. I felt another presence...My body forced me to wake up and she was there.

Yeah, many times I "felt" like I needed to do something whether it be change lanes unnecessarily or bring something out of the ordinary and need it. It's just a sure feeling.
