I've seen so many girls ask on here if they can be pregnant if they have sex on such and such day before or after their period. Don't you know that you can become pregnant anytime if you don't use some kind of protection. It's just some times its easier to become pregnant than others. These young women really need to know these things!

The problem is not the schools, it's the parents who are not teaching their children. It's the moms encouraging their daughters to dress like whores because it's in style and they want to relive their glory days, and then not explaining to their daughters that when you dress like a whore, guys think you are one. They encourage their daughters to date at 11 and 12 because they think it's cute, and they want them to be popular. These are the same mothers that don't talk to their daughters about sex at all or tell them more than they are ready for and get angry with them when they find out they are pregnant. This kind of education needs to start in the home.

Unfortunately sex ed classes that are offered don't teach anything much except abstinence. And yes abstinence is the best policy most don't do it because sex is so enticing. I know in all the sex ed classes I had we spent about 75% of the time on abstinence 8% on condoms and other forms of birth control, but not on how to get them, and the rest on the Vagina itself. But don't look at me for those kinds of questions I'm a self educated proud virgin. Learn from others mistakes kiddies. 1in3 teens that have sex before 20 will become pregnant and 1in 3 will get an STD.

When I was in HS(graduated in 2004)...I didn't learn anything! My teacher substituted sex-ed/health with PE so we never learned anything! But, thankfully, my parents taught me well! And I listened too...I was a virgin until my wedding night!

That's probably what's happening now! Either that or the teens just aren't listening and don't care!!

hmmm... sex ed at my school consisted of going over pregnancy(the whole process) std's, cons AND pros of sex, abstanance(sp?), puberty for both females and males... and we even watched a video of a child being born(never gonna forget that one... yuk!). I say that it is the schools job to teach the facts, and the parents(or gaurdians) job to teach morals.
