I used to have two Guinea pigs and that happened to them too. I solved the problem though by cutting it off. O f course don't cut it so it looks like a mop but cut it evenly and only where the poop is stuck. If you do it gently the Guinea pig won't even know you are doing anything with her.

There's two ways you could remove it. You could do it over several minutes (or hours) and spray the turd with water to soften it and gently pry it out when it's moist enough. The other way means the piggy has to sit in the bathtub with an inch or two of warm water in the bottom. Let the guy soak for 15 - 20 minutes, then pry it out. Your pig won't be happy, but it will come out :-) . You also don't have to hold a miserable and squirming cavy!

It has happened to my rabbit, and it is a pain to clean off. Keep at it though. I used a towel and warm running water with a cat shampoo to get it off. It might take a few bathes to get the job done. Make sure that they get dried really well. Finally, I'm looking for a coated mesh floor to put over my rabbits box to separate the poop and urine from my rabbit more. Something like that might work for your Guinea pig too.

Good luck!

Ouch, poor thing. Put some baby oil on there and let it sit so it will come off easier and you won't have to torture the little guy.

Maybe someone painted it on there.
