She may feel sad and offer to buy the car back from us for maybe a little less; does this sound reasonable??

It (transmission) died in less than a month; Is it only right that the owner take it back minus some loss? Perhaps then OC Dodge will fix it, but as it is now it won't since the ownership changed! one estimate is it's $1800 - 2500! Any ideas?

powertrain (engine and transmission) warranties are typically good for three to five years from purchase, or 50,000 miles. what is the vehicle's model year?

chances are you should work with the seller and try to resolve this issue.

They have no legal obligation to buy the car back. I know I wouldn't if I were them. Basically, you are stuck with the car.

Ask them if the warranty was through the original dealer (which may not still be under warranty with the ownership change) or through the factory.

You might not be the first person to buy the car.
