In order to fully use the SideKick 3, you need to have a data plan with SideKick access to Danger's (the manufacturer's) servers, which only T-Mobile customers have access to. Cingular does not, and never will, contract with Danger for access, which is also why they do not sell the SideKick. Even if you did unlock the device, it would be nothing more than a phone with a keyboard. No data access or email or IM. It becomes pointless without the data access, which can't be improvised.

You can get it to work on Cingular if you can get the thing unlocked but that would be nearly impossible as T Mobile is the only provider that has the Sidekick. You can find someone on the net who will unlock your phone but it will be pricey. To be quite honest, the chances are pretty darn slim.

Since the device is locked to T-Mobile and you cannot get it unlocked, you will not be able to use it with Cingulair
