Speaking about the country Ireland. This is where I studied and things may have changed a little since I've been there but it will hopefully help you with your answers.

Primary school : 9am to 2am Monday to Friday.
National school: 9am to 3am Monday to Friday.
High school : 9am to 4am Monday to Friday.

There was also a lunch break that lasted about 45min. to 1hour.
National and high school gave us homework.

Full-time University is usually five days a week, depending on your time-table. How easy is it? - it depends on your educationally background and on how you cope with the subjects you study. There's usually high amounts of work involved and people usually find it hard.
