Cookies won't usually give you any problem with Internet Explorer. My Internet Explorer hangs up too, and Microsoft told me that one thing you can do is to click on tools and go down to Manage Add-Ons, and then look through them and delete any of them that are just a bunch of jumbled up letters and numbers and not an actual name of something. I don't know if you go to www.iwon.com, but their toolbar is adware. I keep it because I play games there. If you are using emoticons from www.smileycentral.com, they are spyware too. Make sure that you do a deep scan when scanning for adware/spyware.

You can find all this information at Microsoft. When your browser hangs up next time, send the error report and then click on further information, and you will be given all the steps to take to try to fix the problem.
