Ice does because the cold is not the same temperature as our own body and it damages us. Salt does because it is concentrated and pulls fluid out of our tissues to make itself more dilute. We need our fluids. Salt dehydrates us.

This is a college chemistry/biology type question. It has to do with ballance. Salt is fluid electrolyte ballance issue you can read more about it under hypertonic, hypotonic and isotonic. The other is a temperature issue. You can read more about it on frost bite.

Ice burns because it is cold. Salt burn because it is salty. I don't even know why you had to ask such a stupid question. Everyone knows that you are stupid.
