Art is not a talent. It is an expression.
Art is expression of language, form, sound, light, texture, taste, etc. by the artist. The way the artist puts pieces together is his expression.
Any expression is art.
A good expression is good art. (the way an actor smiles can win him a million dollar role)
Bad expression produces bad art. (Arrange garbage all over the street and you create bad art.)
Talent is the state of expressing popular art. It is usually something you are born with. You may play flute very well, even without given any specify training.
Producing popuar art is a talent.
Keep walking

All artists are expressing themselves. Some have talent, others maybe less so. Talent may be developed over time. Expression happens immediately. Babies and animals are able to express themselves thru art. Opinions may vary as to what shows talent and what does not, but any art form is an expression. Personally, I never thought I had talent, but I couldn't help keeping on expressing myself, and now people tell me I have talent, go figure? Hope this helps.

I believe that Art is a talent...not an expression....everyone can express through Art in many different ways...but it does take a special one who can draw, sketch, paint, take photos, sculpt, in any form of art to be talent in his/her own way, especially in the amount of time it takes an artist to do his/her piece. Not only do they look at an object, another picture, or even look at a view...but as they do gather that in their mind and use thier creativity to the image they want to create...they take that from their mind...to their hearts...to their hands(or feet...if those who can only do it with feet) and work their piece to see where it leads to...this is where they catch their work. I am not an artist of any kind...but I have seen some special artists in awe what they can do with their creativity, their talent, and just mix it up and just have it come so easily when those of us who aren't artistic can even do such thing. How can you say it isn't a talent but a form of expression. I do agree it can be considered a form of expression when it comes to their kind of style in Art. a good example I am trying to show would be an eleven year old girl by the name of Akiane (she may be year older now) but this young lady is an amazing artist. I couldn't even begin to say how amazing she is in her work. When you look at her work...you can strongly see she has an amazing talent in doing her work...then also she does do a lot of expression through her art because not only does she paints, draw, charocol draw....she also does beautiful poetries along with most of her pieces. I do hope you take the time to look at her link I have included. You would really enjoy looking at it. http://www.artakiane.com/home.htm
All in all, I think it is a mix of both of them ...the talent....and the expression is what makes a what piece with Art...it all depends on how one chooses to do thier work with.

Art is the talent that sounds through expression. Say for example an unmaried actress play a role of mother having chid and husband. In reality she is not having that experience but her expression of being mother is her secret talent that shows through her expression and awarded her for her role as a mother.

Everyone can express yourself through art, but there are only a numbered few that have talent :-)

I think talent is an exact pricision. There's an intense intent
to get it right. Whereas, expression is more sloppy. And
not to extremely focused. Expression I feel is more layed
back.
