the italian team surely didnt deserve to win , it was a plan to provoke zidan and kick him out , also they played very rough and made essensial french players leave because of enjury
Is that an acceptable way of playing???

nope. italy wins.
If Zidane insulted an italian player, would you feel the same?
Zidane is an experienced player, he should know how to control his anger by now.

A rematch of the Final ? You are hillarious !!!

You are sounding like those Korean guys who wanted a rematch of the match against Switzerland. Italy surely deserved to win..they played more balanced football. Football is not all about attacking...or playing 100's of passes before fizzling out near the goal.

I agree they provoked Zidane...if Zidane's expulsion means that France would lose then let them. How can a team be so overdependent on 1 player ? A world champion team should not be such. And they didnt play rough...it was a clean game. Besides how can a french fan accuse others of playing rough...
1 Thierry Henry ( a forward ! ) has commited most fouls in W
2 France has had most yellow cards in WC next to Portugal.

Plus - Henry clearly playacted to get the descisive free kick against Spain.

I'm going to have to disagree with you. I don't think that Italy specifically planned to get Zidane kicked off the pitch and they didn't play rough. I think they played smart, aggressive, thoughtful football. They're tackles were well-executed and well-timed and that gave Italy good possession. As for the pk that Zidane got to take, if you watch the replays of the tackle by Materazzi, he actually never even touched Makelele. Makelele simply did a good job of selling what seemed like a foul. Aside from that, Italy deserved to win. I think they played better overall football and that definitely payed off in the end in the shoot out. Finally, as a little personal bit, I just really didn't want France to win: I'm a huge fan of Spain and ever since Spain lost to France, I haven't really been to keen on seeing them win again.

I think there should be a re-match.

Both teams played well. Italians playful, French graceful. Very difficult to judge if physical abuse is more tolerable to verbal abuse, or not.

If the cup is taken away from Italy next question is, should it be given to France? Still no, even though I wish. Cos they could still go into penalty kicks that depends on luck.

To me France played beautifully with Brazil.. and Brazil played beautifully in 2002.

Glory belongs to whoever plays beautiful soccer :)

Of course not!

It was a game of football and sometimes unfair things happen in football matches. I would have liked France to win, I have nothing but the greatest admiration for Zidane and I really hope someone punishes Marco Materazzi if it can be proven that he really did hurl racist abuse at Zidane.

BUT, Italy won the match - the manner may have have been less than ideal but it was as fair and square as you ever see in football.

no everyone dislikes Italy excluding Italian fans because of (lets break it down)

A - the tough guy macho mafia maybe one day wise guy thing
B - self righteous imperious superiority over non italians and ESPECIALLY over other latin based languages (roman complex)
C - the "fair, honest, and graceful" way that Juventus, A.C. Milan, Lazio, and Fiorentina played their league seasons
D - Marco Materrazzi is viciously overagressive borderlining on bloodthirsty animalism ..........Sorin anybody?
E- Stereotypically a highly racist people as portrayed by TV.....i.e. sopranos, goodfellas, etc etc.........soccer....i.e. Lazio leagues monkey chants at players......and real everyday life....i.e. Howard Beach Fat Nick incident last summer...........just cuz he was black in the wrong neighborhood
F - Italy's government is more crooked than any analogy i could possibly make....................

that being said............FORZA ITALIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if they could eliminate the above factors they'd be cheerable for but Italy is kinda like the supervillain........and while this country hates france with a passion and would like nothing more than to see France burn top the ground, Internationally france is much more liked and respected, football and outside.......

i absolutely agree with you. italians are bunch of cheating scumbages in the first place. Throughout this world cup, they've started off slow and tedious, esp. even U.S. tied with them (how did that happen, I'm an American I was proud of them when they tied). Starting off round 16 and the rest, they've started showing themselves... that they will do anything to win the world cup, even means cheating. Their high kicks against the Germans and injuring important French players, they should not be the champion, it was undeserving. They should be ashame of themselves for winning the trophy by cheating. b/c that is not how a champion wins the games. (you don't see Germany or Brazil or France doing that) Italians are loser, you should be ashame of yourself.

What is it with everyone against Italy??? Is it because they are one of the greatest teams in the world? Is it because they won against Australia? Is it because they have been unbeatable for the last 26 games? Is it because no team could score a goal against them, besides a home goal and a penalty? At the end of the day every team got 90min to try and score goals, every team got the chance to come out as winners, At the end of the day only one team came out as champions...ITALIA! So please all! Get over it!

no absolutely not, if their plan was to provoke zidane, then he shud have just ignored it . it happens in cricket too (sledging) but still u dont see most of the players losing their cool! but ya soccer is a much faster game involving lot of emotions so such things do happen.
