Race fans in Britain are starving for a winning driver.
Long ago, even before Button ever got in the car there was all kinds of talk about him being the next Michael. It was all kinds of hype, all kinds of expectation, and really...he's not that great.

I had several arguments before the season started about Rube vs. Jensy. Reubens is a much better driver and needed time to acclimate to the car. Now that he has been, he's burying Button.

I'd like to see him get a win, too. It's not going to happen this season in that car. It would be a long stretch for Reubens, it's not going to happen for Button.

It's a bit of a transition year for the team from BAR to Honda and I don't think the folks at Brackley designed and built a good car this year. Jenson Button was reasonably quick in pre-season testing (but that can be deceiving) and he was competitive in the first few races of the season. I don't think the team has kept pace with chassis developments and both Jenson and the Honda engine seem to be a bit `off the boil' lately. In retrospect, perhaps he shouldn't have paid out all that money to Frank and Patrick, not to drive for Williams. On the other hand, I'm beginning to think Jenson flattered (early in his racing career), only to deceive.
Even though he still hasn't won a Grand Prix, let's not forget it took Mike Hakkinen 96 races before he got his first win and it was 124 for Rubens Barrichello.

All of the above. He's the Tim Henman of racing - ****, but not bad looking and British so everyone builds him up. He'll never win owt and doesn't deserve the recognition he gets. Bring back Eddie the Eagle Edwards, he was cheaper, more entertaining and better at his chosen sport.

Basically he went with a team that he thought was a winner - and picked a loser! Let's face it, he has also been getting bad advice from his team as well as him having a car that keeps letting him down. And his team-mate (Reubens Barrichello) is doing no better!

Has anyone else noticed that Mr. Button's luck changed when he split up from his fiancee?!

He has to be the most over rated driver on the circuit. He keeps losing to his team mates. I think he has got too cocky and now is more interested in women and being a celebrity a bit like Eddy Irvine did.

I would say that he's just a bit rubbish! Even Coulthard managed to win races when he was in a decent car, Button is useless and not very likeable.

Its true his car has let him down, and he has 3 teams faster than Honda the track, but his monkey on his back is difficault to shake I feel the old addage "If he didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck at all" coming on.

Poor car preparation and bad luck. He needs a good kick up the backside.

He should join his mate Justin Wilson in ChampCar. At least then he could finish in the top six or so.
