MBps = Mega Byte per second
Mbps = Mega bit per second
8 bit = 1 Byte
Mbps / 8 = MBps
Byte is used primarily for Storage
Bit is used primarily for network speed

I changed one thing:
mbps/8 = MBps
1 Mbps * (1 B/ 8b) = MBps (utilizing unit analysis where the b cancel each other out on numerator and denominator)

There are 8 bits in a byte, so bytes are much larger...
Bits are usually used for measuring web speeds because they used to be so slow, but as technology improves it is now more practical to take 3 digits out of a number such as 1024 bits and just call it 1 Byte.

one is Megabytes(1024*1024*8 bits per second) the other is megabits(1024*1024 bits per second) per second.
