save them up and get a discount on things at the store of your choice. just kidding. its kinda stupid but i think its there so that people are encouraged to answer questions instead of just asking. it a stupid concept cause everyones just answering for points now with answers like "don't know" and "ask (somesortofspecialisthere)" or "im gonna report you" or "thanks for the two ponts". if you dont know anything about whatever the question is then dont answer. its stupid really because people are trying to collect points like it'll win them a million bucks if they reach a certain amount first or something. or like it a popularity contest. get bent point gamers.

They don't mean anything. It just proves how competitive we are. The most points for nothing. What an excellent marketing tool. Have a nice day.

From what I can tell...points don't really do anything but boost your ego.

You just have something to show for all your hard work,and it also makes you have something to be proud of. I'm lvl 2 and I'm proud. Then again it shows how you can't get a date and how much free time you have on your hands. : D

Supposedly you get a "special Yahoo! thank-you" when you hit certain points. They haven't announced what that will be, though.

you get points in order to advance to higher levels, which raises your daily limit for asking and answering questions. It also makes you feel good about yourself.
