Ah-ha! This is the most interesting question I've seen on this board! If there was an omnisex, not only could we all mate with it, would come in handy with man/woman fights as it would be neutral as far as testostorone and estrogen goes. Anything is possible! Perhaps this would be the next line of humans.

I think that this would be awesome, at least on the surface. I'm not sure what this new gender would look like, as it would probably not be neuter.

I'd be a little weirded out if the new gender had both sets of organs, so perhaps they had similar organs that were slightly different.

Who knows, but hey, good idea. If your ever in charge of creating new lifeforms, throw it out there, we could use a little mix up. :)

Love as always,

Sebastian

It's called a hermaphrodite...granted I think the humans of them don't generally have all working or fully formed parts... Some other species on the other hand...I once heard of a type of frog or something like that that could change it's gender if one was too few.

x an y chromosomes(sp?)... only combinations xx and xy... male and female... not genetically in any species of living thing because this within holds and is made from dna... males and females were made for a purpose.. reproduction... that only other is a hermafridite(sp?).. whom which reproduces its self or through others of the same reproductive system occasionally... think a little more buddy if you want an answer... or put more money into dna research...

Yeah, I think it's interesting... But I wonder what will it look like? If they are a mix of male and female, won't they become you know, 'the perfect human'? That you won't need male and female again? That sounds creepy to me....

Sheesh...We have enough trouble getting along with 2 sexes. Why would you want to throw a 3rd sex into the mix?

there are plenty of differing genders
there are also plenty of different sexualities....
quite possibly as far as sex goes there is probably really someone for everyone...
though freedom of choice kinda makes the probabilities a little less even...

Yes and it has been known to happen on occasion with hermaphrodites. Rarely are they fertile as male AND female, but it has happened on occasion.
