If the United States were to open our borders and Americans were able to trade with Cuba, and vacation in Cuba, do you believe that this would hurt or help Castro's government?
Would the invisible hand of enterprise win the arm wrestle of communism?

David C you are full of sh*t. I have done a lot of study on Cuba, written a lot on Cuba, and studied the Cubian economy, so as usual you are full of it.

It is working pretty good with China. I have long thought it would be the best approach for Cuba too.
Capitalism/free trade does wonders for making countries want to protect their money making interests and get along with the rest of the world they have to trade with.
Isolation gives you Cuba and North Korea and Sudan and Iran...look at Libya...Qaddafi decided he'd rather be rich more than being a menace.

It doesn't matter, because you're talking above your intelligence level and that annoys me.
edit: Apparently it's impressive to have a number higher than a person who just joined this Answers-Thingy 30 minutes ago. Too bad I make more money than you fool. Oh wait, you don't understand capitalism, just capitalization. TOO BAD I MAKE MORE MONEY THAN YOU FOOL.
Ahem, now for a real answer. We need to open trade relations with Cuba because it would help the people, not because of the oppressiveness of the government. It's time to stop boycotting Communism and Socialism; McCarthy was a jackass who almost ruined this country, and refusing to trade with a nation based on economic ideology approaches that level of stupidity.

There is nothing wrong in Cuba. But I agree with you, If Americans go to Cuba will realize that it is their government that needs to change not Cuba's.

The best thing for Cuba will be the death of Castro. Cuba is such a small place, Castro has death-grip on it.
I hope you mean capitalism.
