The best way to get an honest discount would be to use a student or educator discount. If you're a student you qualify, or if you know a teacher they qualify for a discount. Other than that you're risking getting scammed, receiving hot (stolen) merchandise (a punishable crime), or the product will probably be used and/or out of the box.

It's true, Apple does offer a student discount on all of their products including ipods, but if you aren't a student or an educator, ebay would be a good place to check for one. You may also try a discount camera and electronics store. Alot of them stock late model or refurbished computers.
