No, they can't log into your e-mail without your password. However, they CAN change the password if they can answer your security question. Although in order to RETREIVE that new password, they'd need to hsve the password for the account you confirmed that password with (Yahoo asks for another e-mail address for them to send password changing info to). So it's a very complicated process, but not altogether impossible.

If you think someone might have access to your e-mail, immediately change your password and security question. I don't even answer my security questions correctly, so know one can figure it out. I just use something I know I'll remember. Like for my old account, the question was about my first pet, and I named my first cat instead of my first pet, which was a dog.

However, if they're smart enough to figure out your password (like if they see you type it in and you do it slow enough or it's short enough, they might be able to remember what it is). You should also include at least one capital letter and one number in a password for the best security. If it's a spam site and not an individual person, they might have this program that will try every password available by running through all the letters and numbers quickly. Like aaaaaa, aaaaab, aaaaac, etc. Changing your password every couple months is also a good idea to deter people from trying to break into your account.

If there's anything that important in your e-mail that you don't want anyone to have access to, you should print it out instead and keep it somewhere else.

Everything's probably fine, but better safe than sorry.

Most people make the mistake of making their password simple to guess; for example - your birthday, your mothers maiden name, etc. Even be careful when logging on in a public place or some friends hovering over your shoulder. If you suspect someone has figured out your password then change your password. And I mean right now. Pick a unique password and keep it private and you will have no problems

it depends on which site is hosting your email space. If you have an email in Yahoo, your password can never be found by another one even if he has ur id. but by a trick they can find your password, there are some trickes that you urself give your password to them but u don't notice it.
