I have A+ as my blood type, my birthmothers is O+, not sure about my birthfather but could my birthmother donate or does is have to be A+?

It is not rare and yes your birthmother could donate blood to you. You can receive A+ and - and O+ and - red blood cells.

PS O+ is NOT universal, but O- is

All blood types are accepted as donations. The RH- is rare. The blood center, such as American Red Cross, will find out what type of blood you have and let you know. Meanwhile, donate to help others.

Your birth mother could indeed donate and no you do not have a rare blood type. Your father was either A or AB.

O+ can donate to A+. Your blood type is not particularly rare.

i think your mom could donate because she is O+ because that blood is universal and no your blood type and rare. AB+ is a rare blood type

A+ is not rare.. it is common

hmmmm.. I could be wrong.. but doesn't one of your parents have to be the same blood type as you?.. so your father has to be A+

Yes. She can donate blood to you as " O " does not have any antigen to precipitate trnsfusion reaction. Rh+ve in both is compatible.

I have A - blood type.....Mine family have A+,AB +......I can t give them,they can t give me blood......Only A - blood type can give blood to me....If I need one day......I think O type can give to all,but not given from all to him.....But I am not sure......
