I think perhaps 3. Rodgers has 11. Verlander has 10. Bonderman & Robertson each have 8.

Considering The Tigers havent had a 20 game winner since Bill Gullickson did it in 1991.

We all know the yankees will have some 20 game winners. I appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Georgie boy, I honestly dont think any. I still think the Tigers will make the playoffs, but I figure Rogers will end up with about 17 or 18 (Trust me, I watched him here when he pitched for the Yanks and Mets) Verlander will probably get to 16 or 17 and Bonderman and Robertson will reach low double digits.

I'm not so much doubting the Tigers pitching, but more so basing this answer on the fact that towards the end of a season when a team looks like a lock for the playoffs, managers skip some starts for their rotation and will yank them after 5 innings.

Just remember Georgie...if its the Mets and Tigers in the world series, I'll be at games 6 & 7 in Detroit no matter what I have to do to get there, so, loser buys the other dinner!!

I don't think of 'em will win 20 this year. The Tigers only have 74 games left - less than half a season - and Rogers is the only one on pace to maybe win 20, which he won't cause he always fades. There's a strong likelihood that Verlander will tire as the summer moves along and Bonderman and Robertson are just too far behind the curve.

That's my 2 points...I mean 2 cents! :-)

I would have to say one, it's very rare that you have two 20 game winners on a team in a season it could happen, but I'm going to go with Kenny "The Gambler" Rogers will win 20, I think Verlander, Bonderman and Robertson will win between 16-19 games. I hope Miner will stay in the rotation, that kid is good, I know he's a replacement unitl Maroth comes back, but the guy's 6-1 and rolling....I hope he keeps rolling, he's one of the few fantasy pitchers that I've been able to count on lately :)

Good luck to your Tigers in the 2nd half!!!!

My answer is 0. Rogers will burn out. Verlander will fall short. Bonderman and Robertson will stay consistent, so probably about 14 apeice.

How many 20 game winners on the Yankees? 2. Randy Johnson and Mike Mussina. Red Sox B LOW

My guess is only one. Rogers has a history of slowing down in the second half, and Verlander might get limited starts because of innings limits. Bonderman should finish strong, but only has 8 now. So there are reasons for all of them not to make it...
Still, the team is going to win a ton more games this year, so somebody will get above the number. My guess is one, and I'm going to make it a reach pick and say Bonderman.

There might be one 20 game winner for Detroit (either Verlander or Bonderman).

The Yanks will not have a single 20 game winner this year.

I'm a numbers guy: Rogers has 11 wins after 18 starts. The Tigers have played 88 games, leaving them with 74 games left. Based on a five man rotation that puts them at 15 starts each (and that's rounding up). So Rogers wins about 61% of his starts. He will have to win 9 games which will be 60% of his starts. So odds are saying it is pretty much a coin flip. I have never been a big fan of Rogers and I have to say he will finish with 18ish. As for the others I just don't think they will have enough starts. Another factor is their schedule: 29 games left with Yankees, Red Sox, Twins, and White Sox. They will not have the luxury of pounding on the NL in the second half. And they still have to play every team in the West at least one more time, every team in that division is competitive and will not be an easy win. And to be honest I don't see the Tigers running at a .670 winning clip in the second half against much tougher opponents.

If you would ask me about Liriano, I would say YES.

I really think Rogers will for sure. Verlander is great and could do it too.
As far as Bonderman and Robertson, they will probably not but they still have a chance.

Miner has a slight slight chance, but not likely...

No it really is extremely puzzling for a tumbler to win 20 video games in the game at present because pitchers do not pitch as typically as they used to. verify out Santana very last year; he replaced into actual dominant and gained in common words 19 video games. The pitchers with the most acceptable probability to do it are NL pitchers because the league as an finished isn't practically as good. in the NL communities are often extremely good or extremely undesirable, while in the AL maximum communities are a minimum of respectable. i'm not putting forward it may't be executed. some AL pitchers have executed it in the most suitable few years, notwithstanding it really is extremely very puzzling. i'd provide Verlander 17 if he continues to be healthful
