I know what it does, but, what is it. How dose it work. It dosent make sense, like the strong and week necular forces and electromagnatism do.

the mass of an object warps spacetime and objects roll towards it. Let's say you have a trampoline and you put a heavy ball on it(the Earth). The trampoline will bend down in the middle. then throw another ball into the funnel sideways. The ball should roll down towards the center. this is analagous to gravity. The rolling ball also explains why the moon orbits the earth

Gravity Website Gravity is a force of attraction only between bodies that have mass. The word 'gravity' comes from the Latin word "gravitas", meaning 'weight'. The force of gravity that one body exerts on another can be expressed as:
G * m1 * m2
Fgravity = ____________ (1)

r2

F = Force of gravity experienced by bodies. m1 = mass of body.
G = Gravitational constant , 6.6726 * 10-11 m3 kg-1 s-2. m2 = mass of second body.
r = radius of body.

From this an important equation for finding the force of gravity on an object e.g. planet.
Newton's second law states that:

F = m * a. (2)

If you substitute the 'F' in equation 1 with 'm * a' in equation 2, you will get:
G * m1 * m2
m * a = ____________ (3)

r2

Divide both sides by m and you will get:

G * m
a = _________ (4)

r2

At a 90 degree angle:
a = g (5)

So the new formula is:

G * m
g = _________ (6)

r2

Knowing the gravitational constant, the mass of the Earth, and your distance
from the centre of the Earth, you can work out the gravity of Earth.
Please note: Gravity is measured in Newtons(N) or kg m s-1.

It's a warp in spacetime. A good analogy is to think of a bowling ball on a bed. It warps the bed into a curve. When you put something else on the bed, it rolls toward the bowling ball. Now just picture the plane that is the bed as three demensional space....

It has to do with the density of any object. the more dense an object is, the greater it's gravitational pull. Just like a black hole. They are so extremely dense that nothing can escape it's pull.

gravity is a force that holds the planet in orbit around the sun, most likely because of its great mass, or something like that.
