How would I go about doing that.........and how much do they make??? (not that it matters how much they make I just want to know!)

Wow, you want to be an officer huh? My mom is ,well was an officer she got promoted a couple years back, well firstly were do u live? If in cali, i can help! Go to your nearest animal control office and apply. But to be honest before you can go save the doggies and drive around in the trucks they are going to make you clean up the poop in the kennels first! It might take a while to get promoted unless you have got some kind of prev exp.! Let me know if you need anymore details k! Good luck!!!!! And ps i think here in cali they start off at like 11 or 12! Also if u want i can ask my mom for more exact info if you are really interested

First, congrats and thanks to you! It will be something so rewarding to do on many levels. After you've done it awhile perhaps you'll want to start lecturing to schools and letting them know how to take great care of animals and your legacy would go on. I would start by volunteering with your Humane society, or Pound (and yes , you'll be picking up **&) but it will let everyone know who you are and show them that youre serious...Good luck Here's some sites one is for a school in general and one is to do it in Los ANgeles.

check with your local ASPCA or Animal Care and Control Center. The website will have careers page,and you can check openings and requirements, or just give them a call.
