I am thinking of getting a prepaid phone but im not sure which provider to go with. I know that some charge about $0.99 a day. Please tell me your experiences with your providers.

As long as you don't live in the back of the woods, get a tracfone. They work off the cingular network. All you have to pay for is the phone and add minutes to the phone. They also keep your service activated several days after you service runs out as long as you still have minutes left on the phone, but make sure to add more minutes or you could lose your phone number.

I think the site is http://www.tracfone.com or you can go to wal-mart or general dollar store and pick-up a phone. They are really good phones. You can't listen to mp3 music on them, or watch videos but they are great for using as a phone.

I like the ease of my trac phone. It's not for chatting on really cause there are no free calling times, but there are also no daily charges.
