Oh my, Oh my ... A story huh ......
hmmmmmm ........
Okay pensive girl ....... here it goes ......

" The Spirit Of Sadness "
Once upon a time there was a little sad girl who walked through the forest village; everyone knew her, yet no one knew where she lived. But there she was, dressed proper and innocent, never saying too many words, but when she spoke everyone listened.
As she strolled down the cobble stone easement she heard two men having an argument, yelling and screaming pointing fingers at one another and just having a angry ol time.
There the sad little girl stood, sad faced, stoic, poking her stick in between the cracks of the cobble stone inlays with impish deeds and quiet as a cotton ball rolling around.
Of a sudden the men noticed the little girl, " say little girl "
ask one man, " what are you doing there? " " Oh " she said,
" whenever i hear anger or feel sadness i need to be present so as to absorb the energy " " Oh " said one man, " is that so? "
" yes she said, please continue and never mind me " " and by the way dear sirs " don't you both have wares to sell from your stores ? " " well " said the men, " yes we do " ...
" so " the little girl said, " why don't you just sell your wares and stop with your anger? " .. Both of the men were very embarrassed and their faces showed their foolish looks ..
Both men started to smile and then started to laugh, " you know " said one man, " she is right !! " " yes " spoke the other man ...
So both men started to hug and shake hands, " lets forget this nonsense " said one man, " lets us go back to our stores and sell our wares " So both men turned to thank the little girl but she was gone !! Only the splinters from her stick in between the cracks of the cobble stone were present, so one of the men picked up the slivers of splinters and saw that they shined like silver, little slivers of silver lay in the man's palm. As both men smiled the sliver of splinters started to disappear !! " Oh my " exclaimed one man, " the slivers of splinters of silver have vanished from my hand !! " So, still smiling the men went back into their door ways, laughing and whistling away tunes, and in the breeze one could hear a whisper of a whimpering titter filling the air ... and the sound of a stick clicking against the cobble stones, ever so swiftly ....... It seems the spirit of sadness had done her duty to absorb any anger or sadness which lay in the forest village ........
And the two men who argued ?
Well they both had a prosperous day and had an interesting
tale to tell at their dinner table. A story with a meaning:
That if you have anger or sadness, just laugh, and then you may shine, like silver in a forest village
The End .......

there is a childrens book called "The Three Trees" it is a folktale about three trees and the role they play in the life of Jesus. It is one of the most beautiful stories I have ever read. One of the main themes is that sometimes you don't get what you want and that makes you sad, but in the end there is a reason and it turns out better than if you had gotten what you wanted in the first place
