Marajuana or Alcohol?

Question

Which is better for society if we had the choice to legalize just one? Why was alcohol legal instead of marajuana?

I wouldn't say either is great for society but I can tell you I have never seen a pot head beat his wife, kill anyone while he is driving 20 mph to McDonald's at 2am or not go to work (they need the cash to buy the weed...you can get 2 40's of Bud lite for $3, you can't buy a pinner for less than $10)
I would say marijuana is much better. Weed smokers just want to mellow out after working whereas alcoholics have the same reasoning, more than often, thake "just mellowing out" to being "shyt faced". After a few good puffs on some outstanding herb, you won't get a stoned guy up to do too much without the promise of a Reese's cup (Scoobie snacks in my circle).

Because prohibition didnt work of alcohol and the drug companies have alot of money and used a bogus reefer madness campaign to make pot illegal and there you are.

With either of these numbing and stress relievers its most important to practice moderation. Too much of anything is a bad thing and a little bit can be medicinal. A glass of wine at night is good for your cholesterol and blood pressure. A little puff can ease your pain and help with your appetite. When you practice responsibility and moderation both should be legal.

If you stick to beer and pot (natural) and stay away from the hard stuff like meth (toxic waste) I think youll be ok, never once with that stuff!

Alcohol.

It is legal because it was smuggled in and people died. Plus they asked for it to be legalized again. One thought about why they asked is that alcoholics drink more after they get drunk. Potheads get wasted and pass out. It is not a volume industry.

Both Marijuana and Alcohol were illegalized at the same time. They just didn'y go back and legalize marijuana.

Marajuana would be a better choice to legalize, the crime rate would go down, drug related crime would go down.

Alcohol is legal because its man made and can be taxed by our government.

I would have to say marajuana caz it's almost like medasion caz it help canser pashions and I think it alot better then alcohol and they are still talking about legalizing w e e d.

My opinion is that we would be a lot better off with legal weed than alcohol. Weed usually doesn't make people lose complete control of things like their balance, vision, speech, etc., plus there are no hangovers. I am not saying you should smoke pot though. Remember, it is ILLEGAL!

they have very similar affects in fact marijuana tends to be better off for society for a few reasons.

1. it does not kill your liver and kidneys like alcohol

2. you do not get into terrible accidents like you do when driving drunk. i mean come one if you have to pick between two cabs (no choice had to get into one) one was with a drunk driver the other was high which would you choose?
i know i would choose the high one. i might take me an hour or two longer but I'm positive I'm going to arrive in one piece and not in a body bag.

alcohol but the both of them are bad weed or marijuana stunts the development of muscles and shuts down or kills brain cells and also can give men ED and well as other stuff so thats my view.
